Plane View

Yesterday I flew into Chicago and I sat window side which is normal for me.  I took in the view from thousands of feet overhead looking down upon trees, fields and rivers again as I normally would.  Something that I noticed more than i have before is the roads.  Yes something that I use everyday.  When you really look at something and see it, it can be quite stunning.  Something that I really hadn't noticed before but the shear engineering behind the what I was seeing has to be amazing.  The lines were appealing.  Straight and winding curving in the direction of the designer.  Straight for miles and miles, turns and twists as only the engineer designed them.  Most in giant squares some running the course of a river.  Whichever it might be next time you have the chance take a look at something from a plane view or otherwise and try and see it a little differently.

Nascar & Crocheting

So, Sometimes it's the dialog of others that brings us the most joy...

This is a conversation that took place between my Montana sister and her boyfriend.

BF: You crocheting already?
MS: Yeah
BF: Don't you ever get the undeniable urge to NOT crochet?
MS: Umm no.  Never have
BF: You're some kind of crochet zombie
MS: OH...
BF: As long as it's not Nascar
MS: NASCAR!?  What's that got to do with it?
BF:  It's a horrible disease... NASCAR and boxed wine....

Going to the highest bidder

Wow was I on a roll yesterday.  Thinking of changing careers and becoming a personal buyer (well not really, maybe:))... However yesterday I did make some great buys for people other than myself.  We helped my brother find a car from our favorite car guy & my prego sister stock up on some future season clothes for her little bambino..  Feeling very productive.

Embrace today, plan for the future and love everyone in your life!!

Spaghetti for breakfast

It's a school morning, which is a half a days work for me (I head in at noon instead of the standard 8am) although this usually means much more hustle and bustle.  So when I asked my oldest daughter what she'd like for breakfast.  She replies "spaghetti"  and normally my answer would be not for breakfast as this is a common request made by our 4 year old.  But as it so happened we had just had spaghetti with leftovers in the fridge. ~Cheers ensue~

Now sitting at the table in school clothes, covered by an Elsa dress, play shoes and elbow length gloves.  I'm receiving a request for a hairdo of a bun with hair crissed and crossed over the top of her head. You're not sure what that means, well I certainly didn't either.  Which happens a lot just I make it up as we go along.

Now at the piano with Beethoven & Mozart.  Each playing a dramatic tune of their own and I chime in, in between the two.  One happily accepting the extra "melody" the other waving her hands displaying her discontent anytime my hands come within the vicinity of her piano keys. (Don't try to picture sweet little tunes, you must see this for what it is.  A 4 year old, a 15 month old and a tone-death, tuneless momma all whomping around on the piano keys... ok now you are getting the correct picture.)

Back home now, with the oldest at school and the youngest asleep the only sound (besides the keyboard of course) is the pitter patter of raindrops hitting the windowpanes.  I believe it's tea time for me!  A cup of hot tea and a moment of silence.
